The epitope specific E111 neutralized DENV1 Nauru/West Pac/1974 (genotype 4) weakly. E111 potently neutralized DENV1 genotypes 2 and 5, and poorly neutralized genotypes 1, 3, and 4. Neutralization by mAb E111 increased after incubation with the virus at 40ºC for 4.5 h compared to 37ºC, suggesting E111 epitopes become exposed for binding with time.
