Two out of 4 epitope-specific mAbs were able to neutralize the infectivity on Huh 7.5 cells of an HCV genotype 1a/2a chimera virus produced by replacing the structural genes of J6/JFH1 with those of the HCV H77 strain. The mAbs were not able to neutralize the genotype 2a virus, J6/JFH1, nor other chimeric viruses 1b/2a and 3a/2a.
