name:
A peptide prime-DNA boost immunization protocol provides significant benefits as a new generation Abeta42 DNA vaccine for Alzheimer disease.
description:
The epitope sequence was provided in cited reference Qu et al. Arch Neurol 2004
61:1859 [PMID:15596606].
Epitope-specific plasma IgG (both IgG1 and IgG2a) was detected in mice primed with the epitope encoded in pDNA and then boosted with the epitope alone. Reactivity was similar to immunization with the epitope alone given with QuilA and greater than that of immunization with epitope-encoded plasmid alone or that peptide prime, pDNA boost.
