| description: |
A strong immune response developed in mice that were immunized with the 3MP HBc formulation, even after the first immunization. The antibody titer in the serum increased further after the second immunization. The 3MP protein was less immunogenic when it was not linked to HBc. Binding of the epitope to the HBc carrier greatly enhanced immunogenicity and 3 epitope copies raised a faster response than 2 copies. In a separate experiment, the administration of IL-2 on separate HBc carrier induced a strong response.
