name:
A structure-based strategy for epitope discovery in Burkholderia pseudomallei OppA antigen.
description:
The epitope is a synthetic peptide composed of OppA(BP) residues 106-110 (KAPDT) and 184-191 (KTEVPVSY) joined by two Gly residues.
The epitope was conjugated to HSA using polyethylene glycol moieties as spacers. The epitope was significantly recognized by plasma from seropositive asymptomatic healthy donors and recovered meliodosis patients.
