description:	The epitope sequence derived from Genbank accession AJ585412 (Uniprot: Q70DK0). Serum from infected cattle failed to react with the epitope by western blot. Sequence fragments generated from the entire length of the protein were used to test for reactivity to larger regions. Overlapping peptides representing the positive regions were then tested for reactivity to define epitope specificity.
