The affinity of epitope-specific mAb 4E11 for binding the extracellular domain III of DENV-4 was determined by competition ELISA. Binding was not detected by surface plasmon resonance. The mAb 4E5A, engineered for improved affinity, showed a 447-fold increase in affinity for EDIII of DV4.
