name:
How insulin engages its primary binding site on the insulin receptor.
description:
The epitope residues were calculated from [PDB: 3W11] as the antigen residues at 4Å
atomic distance from the antibody.
The epitope of Fab 83-7 on the insulin receptor ectodomain was determined from the crystal structure of complex C of Fab 83-7 in complex with the insulin receptor L1-CR construct IR310.T + alphaCT(697-719) bound to high-affinity insulin analogue [D-Pro-B26]-DTI-NH2. Fab 83-7 binds to insulin receptor at the CR (cysteine-rich) domain.
