A nanobody binding to non-amyloidogenic regions of the protein human lysozyme enhances partial unfolding but inhibits amyloid fibril formation.
|
| description: |
The binding of epitope-specific nanobody cAb-HuL5 to wild type human lysozyme was studied by chemical shift perturbations in NMR spectra. Thirty-five residues, including contact residues showed significant chemical shift perturbations, indicating they were affected by cAb-HuL5 binding. Nanobody cAb-HuL5 bound to the amyloidogenic lysozyme variant with substitution I56T in a similar manner.
