name:
A unique and conserved neutralization epitope in H5N1 influenza viruses identified by an antibody against the A/Goose/Guangdong/1/96 hemagglutinin.
description:
The epitope-specific H5M9 IgG bound to H5 HA of Influenza A virus (A/Vietnam/1194/2004). Alanine substitution and point mutations of 18 HA1 residues, including contact residues, demonstrated that residues D53 and E83a, and to a lesser extent Y274 and N276, were critical for H5M9 binding.
