name:
Development of an ELISA for the quantification of the C-terminal decapeptide prothymosin alpha(100-109) in sera of mice infected with bacteria.
description:
The free epitope inhibited binding of the epitope-specific antibodies to the biotinylated epitope. The epitope-specific antibodies also bound the biotinylated and free epitope in direct binding ELISA. The epitope-purified antibodies bound the epitope stronger then IgG purified antibodies or serum. Preincubation of proTalpha (100-109) with the antibodies increased the sensitivity of the assay.
