method:
biological activity
name:
Inhibition of plasma kallikrein by a highly specific active site blocking antibody.
description:
The epitope residues were calculated from [PDB: 4OGX and 4OGY] as the antigen residues at 4Å
atomic distance from the antibody. Contacts residues V410, A414 and Q415 are only in structure [PDB: 4OGX] and contact residue L439 is only in [PDB: 4OGY].
The epitope-specific antibody DX-2930 inhibited the catalytic activity of pKal in vitro. DX-2930 inhibits both free and high molecular weight kininogen (HMWK)-bound pKal.
