Identification of a free core B-cell epitope in the lipopolysaccharide of Francisella tularensis
|
| description: |
The epitope is composed of HexNAcHex3Kdo, which is one type of core structure of F. tularensis LPS. It can be found in Wang et al., Biochemistry 2011, 50:10941-50 [PMID:22091710].
The core epitope specific mAb Ab65 inhibited the binding of Ab66 to LPS from F. tularensis holactica strain LVS, indicating that the two antibodies recognize the same or overlapping epitopes. Ab66 also inhibited the binding of Ab65 to LPS.
