name:
Protective hinge in insulin opens to enable its receptor engagement.
description:
The epitope residues were calculated from [PDB: 4OGA] as the antigen residues at 4Å
atomic distance from the antibody.
The epitope of Fab 83-7 on the insulin receptor ectodomain was determined from the crystal structure of the quaternary complex of the insulin receptor L1-CR construct IR310.T, human insulin AB chains, the insulin receptor alphaCT(704-719) peptide and Fab 83-7 (""Complex A""). Fab 83-7 binds to insulin receptor at the CR (cysteine-rich) domain.
