When TSP-/- mice were treated at 6 or 12 weeks with the epitope vs a control peptide, they had significantly reduced corneal fluorescein staining and increased tear MU5AC levels, indicating less ocular disease. The epitope was synthesized with an N- and C- terminal Lys.
